Ricardo Taborda is Dean of the School of Applied Sciences and Engineering at Universidad EAFIT, leading a school of 130 full-time faculty. His background combines academic administration with research in engineering seismology and earthquake engineering, including leadership roles in research organizations and international collaborations. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a master's in Structural Mechanics from the University of Southern California, a master's in Structural Engineering from UNAM, and a bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Universidad EAFIT. He is skilled in scientific computing with a focus on computational seismology.
